The International Association for Biblical Education (IABE) offers two membership categories for Bible colleges, seminaries, Christian universities, and theological institutions committed to advancing excellence in biblical and theological education. Each category supports institutions according to their stage of development and engagement with IABE.

Associate Member Institution

Associate Membership is intended for institutions seeking affiliation with IABE and committed to strengthening academic quality, biblical integrity, and institutional effectiveness while preparing for future accreditation.

Eligibility

  • Legally established Bible college, seminary, Christian university, or theological institution.
  • Demonstrates commitment to biblical and theological education.
  • Supports the mission, vision, and core values of IABE.
  • Submits the required membership application and documentation.
  • Agrees to comply with IABE policies and ethical standards.

Associate Membership Process

Accredited Member Institution

Accredited Membership is granted to institutions that successfully complete the IABE accreditation process and demonstrate compliance with the IABE Accreditation Standards, reflecting excellence in biblical higher education.

Eligibility

  • Successfully completes the IABE accreditation process.
  • Demonstrates compliance with IABE Accreditation Standards.
  • Offers recognized biblical, theological, ministry, or related academic programs.
  • Maintains effective governance, qualified faculty, and appropriate educational resources.
  • Demonstrates commitment to continuous quality improvement.
  • Complies with all applicable IABE accreditation policies.

Institutions are encouraged to begin their relationship with IABE through Associate Membership. As they continue to strengthen their academic programs and institutional effectiveness, they may pursue Accredited Membership by successfully completing the IABE accreditation process.
