Evaluation Visit

Evaluation Visit

The International Association for Biblical Education (IABE) conducts evaluation visits as part of the accreditation process for theological institutions. These visits provide an opportunity for our team to assess the institution’s compliance with our accreditation standards and verify the information provided in the self-study report.

Purpose:

The purpose of the evaluation visit is to:

  • Verify the accuracy of the self-study report
  • Assess the institution’s compliance with IABE accreditation standards
  • Gather additional information to support the accreditation decision
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement
Process:

The evaluation visit typically includes:

  • A review of documents and records
  • Meetings with faculty, staff, and students
  • Observations of classes and facilities
  • A written report and recommendations
Schedule:

Evaluation visits are scheduled in advance and typically take place over 3-5 days.

Team:

The evaluation visit team typically consists of three members who are experienced educators and professionals in biblical and theological education, and they are appointed by the Board of the International Association for Biblical Education (IABE). This ensures a thorough and expert assessment of the institution being evaluated.

Institutions:

Institutions seeking accreditation or re-accreditation must undergo an evaluation visit as part of the accreditation process.
